Jet class work as a team, we strive to do our best and to support each other along the way. We believe that we can all achieve and reach our full potential if we persevere and work hard. Our teacher is Miss Lines and our Teaching Assistants are Mrs Thomson, Mrs Jarvis and Mrs Lee.
We have PE on Wednesdays and Fridays. We take our Home Learning home on Fridays and return it the following Wednesday. We all have a spelling challenge on Friday mornings.
In class, we have begun to read ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’ by Phillip Pullman and we are enjoying the suspense the author creates…we just want to read on! We have taken part in some drama activities to support our understanding of the text and to generate interesting and exciting vocabulary for our writing.
We are applying our knowledge of this wonderful book to our learning across the curriculum this half term to design and create a moveable container for the main characters to use. We have been working in teams, sharing ideas and compromising to produce one final design as a team.
Our Topic this term is ‘Sparkle and Shine’. We will be learning about light and sound in Science. We will be making predictions, carrying out investigations and concluding our findings.
We are all looking forward to our year of learning in Jet class!
