For Spring term, Opal class have gathered their wits
To jump in and climb out of the great learning pit
We love a good challenge, they helps us improve
They strengthen our stamina and develop our groove!
We are so excited to begin our new topics
Involving a journey into the Amazonian Tropics
We are learning layers of rainforest vegetation
And in Maths its division and multiplication
Our writing has blossomed into flip books and guides
And descriptions and stories and much more besides
Our PE is now Tuesday and Thursday this term
Please bring outdoor clothes to make sure you stay warm!
Home learning is set Wednesdays, so please take home your book
And return it Monday morning (our furry friends might want a look!)
Opal class are livened up and all ready for Spring
And we can’t wait to see what this new term will bring!
Opal class have made a great start to the term,
Buzzing with curiosity and enthusiasm to learn!
We help each other and we respect everyone,
We work hard with our learning and enjoy having fun!
Please remember no earrings for our PE days,
Which this year are Mondays and also Thursdays.
Home learning is given on Friday and is due
Back in on a Wednesday; parents, thank you!
In Science we are learning the bones and their names,
And in Maths we love counting and our ‘beat the clock’ games!
In English our ‘Iron Man’ book is so exciting,
And it has helped us to produce some incredible writing!
A huge thanks to Mandy who organised ice rink visits,
And we can almost keep upright – maybe just for a minute!
Opal have made a great KS2 transition,
For a year full of positivity, challenge and ambition.
